Brand new Fatboy straight 8-pill amplifier with SSB in a 16-pill case. Any reasonable offer will be considered. Serious inquiries only. This 8-pill is designed to handle over-volting… it can safely run at 12-16.5 volts. This amp is biased and will work on 10 and 11 meters (27-29 mhz). This amp was biased at my request for clean sound on ssb. I have done alot of business with Fatboy over the years and he will customize anything for me. I have $1100 into this amp. Heavy duty ssb relay, extra ferrite and an extra power lead added. This amp was built inside of a 16-pill case for easy upgrade,has 4 large fans 12v regulated and will stay very cool to the touch even under heavy use. swr 1.3:1 or less highly recommended. DO NOT PUT MORE THAN 150 watts PEP into this amplifier. Anything more than 150 watts pep will oversaturate the transistors and cause alot of unwanted harmonics regardless of what anyone tells you. If you are using this amp on AM, 25-50 watt carrier (dead key) works best, but dont let the pep (swing) exceed 150 w. I have use Fatboy amps for years and know how to run them properly.
