Hello Gents ,
Looking for some Hand operating PTT switch ideas . I'm thinking of using a door bell momentary switch or maybe a nurse call switch etc. I would love to hear of some more ideas please :)
Thanks for the Look .

Does it have to be handheld? If so a small hand mic from a compact radio will work. Fire a relay with it if necessary. Maybe a remote starter button like this one. Amazon product ASIN B0009XQUKW
How about a cw key on the desk? I know a guy that had a foot switch with light spring he sat on the desk and keyed with his hand. He had bad knees and hips so it was easier for him that way.

Very good idea 543 thanks ! I ended up buying a horn button . I give that a go and see how it works . The cw key is a good idea too ! :)

Here's another cheap suggestion, use a digital piano sustain pedal. The cheap ones are square and small in size. These are just the right size to sit on the desktop or you can try it as a footswitch to see if you like using it in that manner.

These switches are spring loaded non latching momentary on and have a 1/4 in. plug ready to go if you have a Heil mic cable with PTT pigtail, or rig one up yourself of course.

You can buy these pedals locally at music stores and online for $15 or less.

I think it's the aerial view that throws a lot of people off, the big yellow part is his beak not his body. Between here and another forum people have been wondering what that thing is for well over a decade now.;)
