I agree with Robb. The Techtronix scopes are really good. Stay CRT and make sure they have the little red knob in the middle of the volts. I have a digital that works just fine just weird to look at. Way easier to set your carrier and then modulation on the CRT. You will need some type of signal generator and a way to insert it to the rx side and tx side of the radio. You will also need a VTTM or another reliable device with an RF probe if you are looking to actually align a radio. 73'sDual channel and 30mhz/minimum rated. Best to get a 100mhz, since they cost about the same used. A good brand, such as Tektronix or Hitachi. Plenty of 60-100mhz Tektronix scopes on Ebay for around $100/shipping not included.
Onelasttime, I thought the same thing. My 15yo can run his 35m Tenma like a boss. Why I say. He has one friend whos got an off road radio the band escapes right now but there are like 5 channels for public use. Tuned it.Double the max mhz you plan to work on minimum.
