I rarely use my radio a FT-101 but when I do lately,I noticed a high pitch sound coming from inside after tuning.
Does anyone have an idea as to what it could be? I don't overdrive it ever
Ok thanks for the hint.Originally what happened was I fired up a ft 101 while still hooked up to the afterburne. The linear was off but, about 50 w went through it.Next thing I know, smoke came out,of coursr I shut down .
I need help,I have no idea how to proceed.
This little guy has stopped xmit, the rx pre amp still works.
For some reason, the main relay, will not engage.
Tubes are fine,they light up.
Any ideas will be highly appreciated
I have one of these in very good shape, was given to me by a friend yrs ago.
It has no xmit,so I opened it and it has a driver #206 and final 2sc1969.
Somewhere I saw that you can also use 2sc1306 & 2sc1307.
My question is:Is this info right?
