i believe it has a plug spot on the head and on the main box for the mic ...

i am still on the fence as well ... it has a lot of features that i do not see my self using ... but the display and overall (apparent) ease of use is one thing that is attracting me to it ... on that note though, there are plenty of other radios out there for well under half it's price that...

wishing my tax refund was here hah! ... got the rack i need to mount an antenna to my car picked out ... got the mount picked out ... and now the radio ... only decision left is an antenna that is not a 1/4 wave that will work with this radio

i am pretty much just waiting for the free funds to make the purchase on one ... will figure out head peice mounting once i have it in my hands...

thanks for the other photos and such ... i am still trying to figure out how i will mount the control head in my xB. not enough room on the steering column looks like .. and dont really want it fully exposed on the dash ... so that only leaves mounting it just below the gearshift with a custom...

i can't decide between this one or the 208H ... i know there is a big price difference between them ... but this one just has some extra features that i like ... don't care to much for the dual receivers part of it ... so would likely only have one of em actually running ... i guess mostly...

the IC-7000 looks nice .. but it is a bit outta my pricerange ... looks like i will end up just buying a radio for each band i want to be on ... hah will cost more in the long run ... but will be cheaper with every transaction.

yeah the email i got back from Diamond stated so all is good ... now to figure out between the two mounts (not sure about going with the motorized one, but it would be in the center of the roof so that would be easier to fold over then having to get out and do it.) the rack with the round...

i still need to get me a decent one again ... last one i had quit working a few years ago ... and right now i just have one of the cheap-o 15 watt ones. that will burn most electronics up quicker then anything .. but works great for tinning wires.

yeah i expected that long. the problem i was having was with confirmation of shipping. they didn't ship it till about 7 days after i placed the order.

finally got confirmation of the shipping for my battery and such ... also think i have decided on an IC-208H for my mobile install. may change that later on though when i upgrade my lisc. or just stick with 2m and 440 for mobile and the other bands for base .. (the 706 is looking better and...

i just read through several of the inst peices for their clamp on mounts ... and in none of them does it state about making sure it is properly grounded ... plus the mounts are powder-coated / painted so they do not make metal / metal contact to where ever they are clamped ... the only contact...
