What you have is a TUG-9 D104. Uses a 5 wire plus shield cord. TUG-8 D104 uses a 4 wire cord with the switch you're talking about. TUP-9 D104 has the push bar in the base and the circuit board houses the leaf contacts instead of them being in the neck like the TUG8 & TUG9.

It ALMOST looks like that plug, except it is plastic, and has a flat metal pin where the small indentation is. I have a couple of those metal Johnson plugs, but when I try to use them, nothing works. The flat pin has the shield soldered to it.

I have an E.F.Johnson Viking 430, 40 ch. base, and a Sadelta Echo Pro base mic that I want to marry up, but the 430 has a strange looking mic plug! Any help would be appreciated!! I also want to wire up my TUP-9 D104 to the same radio.
