In the winter time like now, close to the peak of the cycle, I still talk to truck drivers on the Dalton Hwy in Alaska on ch 19 AM. CB is there main radio in that area.
Summer time I usually talk to lots of drivers in Alberta, Sack. and Manitoba, again on ch 19 AM.
But, I am only able to do...
I don't have much of problem with the simple guys from Springfield , ILL. I just swing the beam to the N.W. and pufff...all gone!
During winter time, my beam rarely goes to the East anyway, so I don't hear much from them.
I heard the CCCP from 50 div back in March of last year, seems not many...
This one is now over - 514AT/0 (AKA 65AT0) which is Sierra Leone (Africa).
Several hundred contacts were made - but I only counted 18 from the USA, that was in the log, which I was one of the lucky ones.
