First radio I purchased when I was 11 yrs old: Realistic Pro 2006. (Clipped diodes and all! ) Been away from DXing since the 90's. At some point soon I plan to get my ham licence, first however, I thought it would be a good idea to brush up on / expand my knowledge base, so I recently purchased a SDR to facilitate this.
