98 % sure it is a diode or diodes in your high voltage power supply. In your first picture it is the board with the 20 diodes on it. I would replace all of them. They look like 3 amp @ 1000 volt. Cheap---replace them and I think it will solve your problem.
Mine only swings to about 9. That is PEP. Put it on avg and it backs up a smiddgin. I am driving a 2 pill and it doesn't like 4 watts. May not can do it. It sounds good and loud, but just don't like the 4 watts into a 2 pill. Thanks
Does anyone know how to drop the wattage on a 40 channel model "T" without de-tuning it? It keys about 4 watts now, but i would like it to be 2 watts. There is a 10 watt resistor in a browning mark III power supply that can be changed to a higher resistance and drop the wattage. Just wondering...
I finally got the NS 9500 converted, thanks to you. Now I have a talkback problem. I would like to disable it since I don't like it anyway. Creates a horrible squeel. There is nothing I can find on the net that has a schematic for the 9500. I have been trying other radios that have a 3600 14b...
Does anyone know how to actually do the channel conversion for the northstar 9500? I have read everything I can and it says to cut the small loop on the channel board and then re-connect the yellow wire to get 11 meters. I can't see a small loop and every yellow wire is intact and not...

All of a sudden my 2995 has lost most of it's receive. You have to turn it 3/4 way up on the volume to get it loud enough to hear anything. Does anyone have any idea what happened? I am not to good on these smt boards. Thanks
Has anyone heard anything about the new connex base radio? Just wondering how it performed, and is it any different than the 2517 galaxy. I haven't seen any schematics on it. Thanks
I have an old lafayette range boost microphone. Is it the same as a turner +3? It looks like one and I was wondering if it had the processor in it. Thanks for any help
If it had a fuse in it, more than likely it is diode bridge that is out. Probably just one section or leg of the bridge. Like I said "if" the fuse was in it the transformer was protected.
