Conditions are totally nuts. From 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM all the channels are full of skip and crazy conditions. We have a local club here and it is impossible to talk local in the daytime now.

Reminds me of the Uniden Bearcat 980 actually. Sold in the US they will be FCC compliant and you can get a much better export for less than the George. My 2 cents.

I own several Anytone radios. I have the tiny "Smart" CB-40, The AT-500M, The old version Quad 5, The Quad 6, and the Radioddity QT40. I want the QT40 to be my permanent base station rig, but the Quad 6 is outperforming it in every way. I wish I knew a way I could just bring the modulation up...

Early morning or late evening is the only time CB is usable for local contacts on any channel. We just gotta wait for the solar cycle and then we might hear some distant stations out there and make long distance local contacts.

E-bay is about the only place I am aware of to get this stuff.

I have several Anytone radios and the stock microphone is the best on all of them.

If my flip clock dies I will replace it with a digital version.
