Galaxy is prone to bad solder joints. I have had my DX95t2 apart 4-5 times for the same thing. It seems to be really sensitive to temp changes which is a BIG problem for a radio that is mounted in my Jeep.
I'm not positive but I think that English is the official "recognized" language for HAM communications. That certainly doesn't mean that everyone recognizes this but for the most part the official HAM guys will be speaking english.
Sitting in the parking lot of my sons MD office waiting to go in. Thought I would see if skip was still rolling when the assistant for the MD Taps on my window asking if I was talking on my radio? I said yes with a question on my face. She informs me that my whole conversation was broadcasting...
New developments yesterday. I switched to PA and when I switched back the PA was still on. When I talked I got TB in my radio and on the PA. I had to unplug the PA speaker to shut it up. It's like the selector switch has a cross or short.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help.

The only thing I'm basing my info on is xforce's web site. 500W MOSFET pulls fewer amps than the 500W pill unit. I'm just starting to look for an amp so that's why I came to You guys. Thanks for the input. I will keep researching.
Ok I'm probably stepping on a bee's nest but here goes.
I'm really looking for an amp. for my Jeep Wrangler. With that said it doesn't have the best electrical system and pulling 70 amps on the battery/alternator for an extended time would probably fry things.
MOSFET amps seem to...
They make a mount plate for the side of the console but I just used four screws and set it at an angle and she has been fine.
Here's what the mount looks like.
It will limit how far up the passenger seat can move up. Not a problem for me but just something to keep in mind.
Actually I mounted it on the side of my center console. I will try to load a pic later but it is mounted at a slight angle. I didn't want to fish the coax up the dash plus the overall size of that radio made it almost impossible to mount on the dash.
