    New tech looking for handheld

    Many new Techs opt for a HT but then find that they want more power and get a mobile. With that being said...I would go with a Wouxun KG-UV1P. I have one and it's a sweet little radio. That way when you go with a mobile, you will have saved some money.

    General Exam

    You're ready. I read the book twice and was passing the practice tests in the 90 percent. When I took the test..I got a 100 but the computer wouldn't print the results so I had to take it again and missed 3. No big deal. Good luck.
