Random Wire and MFJ-941e Question

So radio to antenna tuner using coax jumper, then my 12' of LMR-240, to 1:1 balun mounted just below the existing coax connection on my antenna pole. Then use my center 3/8-24 stud as center conducter and ground plane for 'other side' of dipole.

Basically the 1:1 balun cuts RF back feed (that's what I call it) and allows 50 ohm coax to play better with my 12AWG..

Why are you using this?

Guess I don't need to use this.. I can remount my 2/70 antenna back up on it with the proper radials that came with ground plane. Then I got all bands but 6m covered..

The downside I would need another vertical post to mount the dipole center insulator up and more coax to run to this new antenna.. Ughhh

a fan dipole uses a common feed point for all the elements, the mfj-918 or any other 1:1 current balun would work fine

Home brew a balanced L tuna. Build it right and you could use a 40m length doublet from 80 to 10, maybe 6. The vac variable is the most expensive part but the Russians have good deals on them. Using one on 75 AM now and making people say WTF. Anything else will cause the wind to blow urine on your pants.

So I can take the 918 1:1 balun hang it on a wooden pole. Start with my 20m wire, then eventually add a 10m and 40m to the same set of eyelets on the left and right sides of the 918. keeping in mind to use PVC or some other means to separate the antenna leads by 100 mm.

The other option is end fed with built in 9:1 balun...

Then just a single lead..

Don't know if I can get to 40m antenna with my shack to mount point to tree distances.. Though I just read it could work with like 36', 44', 49' minimum. But those numbers cover 40-10m supposedly.

Just a thought.
Bird feeder about 15' ish high to hide the balun center point. Use 22 guage wire for the fans, small diameter grey spreader rods.
Or a 9:1 unun end fed random wire
