Looking for Cherokee CBS-1000 Owners Manual

the owners manual does not really tell you any thing about the radio. I own one and have not used it in years. are you wanting the owners manual or are you wanting the service manual for align etc. use to be a lot of radios made under other names but was the same as the 1000.
here is some info for the service manual if that is what you need.

Thanks for the info. but I'm looking for the owners manual.

I did some searches and didn't see a manual. Not sure what you're planning but you'd be best off selling it on eBay to someone who thinks it's cool (it isn't) :) I remember being really excited to try one out when they came out and was thoroughly disappointed in those radios and their variants.

The radios are okay for what they are. In their heyday, they were probably cool to have. I have one that I got for a little bit of nothing. Had to repair the power supply and the voltage regulator for the driver and final transistors. Easy to modify as to expanding the frequency capabilities, clarfier modiffication.........will go all the way thru the 10 meter band.
I recently brought one back to life for an old man who has nothing else to do, laid up with dialysis every day. It made his eyes sparkle and he was happy.
It does not do a lot of power, about 5 1/2 watts max am dead key swinging up to about 13~15 watts. Same swing on SSB. It will transmit pretty good driving an amplifier. I have used a Texas Star 500 behind it doing up to about 450 watts PEP.
Like I said, it's okay for what it is.

Any chance of getting a copy of the owners manual?
Here's a copy of the Cherokee. A little different than the Northpoint manual. Some of the pages might be askew, and I think I got a little bleed over from the page's on the back. I'm still trying to figure out the scan settings with the ET-8500 since I reinstalled WIN7. I had the settings dialed in once before, now I've done a clean install, I'm back to square one. Hope this helps.

Also there is this addendum.

Quite welcome. Here are a couple of other things you might be interested in.
The Intek is the same as the as the CBS-1000. Not sure if any of this is still floating around.
