Here's a latecomer to the list. Received this gem from Loose Cannon. :ROFLMAO:

"We actually have one of those here in Las Vegas. It's called "Lucky Pete's gambling hall CB shop laundromat" Oh, the best part is that Pete is usually topless."

is there any body worth a hoot in central Va ? i got a uniden grant XL i want given a good checkup and don't want any golden clipper near it . i'd rather not send it off , but if it's highly recommended ........

Thank you Riverman71.

LOL.
I posted that because I thought the names weren't all that different from those I'd come up with for my ficticious list.
And because I thought it might actually serve a useful purpose. I then had second thoughts and deleted it, worried that it would simply turn into another bashfest.

No worries brother, I have no nobody to blame, but myself; no potential "bashfest" just self-disgust on my end.

I understand your frustration.
I soon realized I shouldn't have titled this thread "Reputable CB Shops/Techs". The only Emmet Fix-It Shop in Mayberry, NC was on the Andy Griffith Show. :D

Decided to go ahead and re-post the list of actual working shops with hopes it will be of help to some.

Hopefully, people will share any good experiences they've had and report any unfavorable experiences in good taste. Here goes:

I used to drive by that TruckCity CB and Solar place back in the day on the I-5, didn't look great then - doesn't look great now :) I wouldn't even park my rig outside - someone gonna run off with my wheels :)

Oh man - these are making me laugh - the CB Man website contact info is hilarious -

Usually the 1st weeks of the month, you can call me in SLOhio between the 182 and 200 exits on I-90 on (440) 944-5577 in the mid day (IF it rings 3 times hang up and THEN call 440-503-7755 -Sprint Cell #). Call a few hours before you get there OR the night before, for an appointment. Evenings call me on 440-503-7755–I’m around the 218 Quik Fill on I-90, 5 to 6 days a week.

Usually the Last 2 weeks of the month or so I am in TN at the Shell TRUCKSTOP @ the 338 exit. CALL me on my SPRINT cell # (865) 384-3711 a couple of hours or the night before you get there IF you can on I-40. Call before you get to TN on I-75 for directions, so I can save you miles & time by avoiding Knoxville to see me!

It's like a spy rendezvous :)

Love the pic on google maps. Not what I had pictured in my mind at all. :ROFLMAO: Heck, for all we know it could be home to the best tech in the business.

My favorite is Working Man's CB Repair in Amarillo.
Reminds me of the old Merle Haggard hit, Working Man Blues. Or Dylan's Working Man Blues #2. :)
