Dr. Dipole question

I have had a Dr. Dipole for sometime. But, never tried it out. I have no trees and my house is a small ranch. Will it work okay if I hang it in the ATTIC?
Depends a lot on whether you have a wide-open attic or one with a lot of pipes, vent ducts, foil-faced insulation batts and other metallic objects. Rather than ask if it will work, go ahead and put it up and see for yourself. There are a lot of antennas that shouldn't work well at all, but they prove us wrong every day!

I have an inverted "V" (Omni-directional) dipole in my attic and it works great. My attic is 12' at its peak and no ductwork nearby. If you run the dipole horizontal it will become directional, the ends of the antenna will have the weak signals.

I bought 2 dipoles from Dr. Dipoles, an 11 meter and a 10 meter. I got the 10 meter for when go ham. Furthermore, I have talked to locals and 10 miles when skip wasn't in. Now it's all hash because of the sun, I guess. I was thinking of listening to the ten-meter band. What frequency has the best in Massachusetts to listen to? Thank you

Most active frequencies on ten are in between 28.300 and 28.500 USB.
That's also open to the Tech class license now.
There is a AM Sub band around 29.000, FM Simplex at 29.600 and FM repeaters up there as well.
See chart below as a guide.
