looking for a good mobile antenna
at the 462 to 467 mhz
what about cutting a 102 whip down
taking off the cb antenna and srewing the 102 and cutting it down to freq
what would be a good guesstament starting length

ok got a 2 meter beam up for now on a repeater looking north
im looking for a 465 mhz vertical repeater antenna
maybe a commercial type
need to tune it exactly for the freq
do i need to run 1/2 hardline or will the 213 be ok
Looking into doing some better listening and im pondering the idea of the Tech and go ahead a get my General while im there.
anyway there is a local repeater here but when everyone is on the net then that repeater is 38 miles away.
theres a guy here that built a 2 meter jpole and it can bump...
flipping thru all the bands and modes listening and once i get to the 25.0000 range up to the 28.000 range it has alot of static in the AM mode
every where else its alot quiter

anyway it had all kinds of bands to listen to
had a black or bluish background and a signal would show up as white
you could click on the white part and then click up or down in freq to tune it in.

cant see the exact front of it
looks to big to be the cobra 1000
has 7 knobs that i can see
i can also see the top of the radio but it does not have a screen or vented top towards the rear
and my cobra 2000 has a screen or air...
