Well.... It's not the usual USB conflicts, USB is working fine. The radio resets as the software attempts to read or write to the radio. The same happens if I try to clone as well, so it is not limited to the USB cable. And the LED light stopped working as well.
I opened up the radio and...
A while back I found a site that would give you the coverage map of known repeaters in a specified area, you could also break it out by band. Does anyone know of a site like this?
Well I am going to try the CA2x4SR. I has more gain than the antenna I have now, and it covers more frequencies, which I may need later. Should have it by Wednesday :)
Ok, I have a kenwood TM-D710 and a Diamond CR73B-NMO antenna, while the antenna works ok, I need it to work a little better. I am losing my local 2M repeater for the last 5 minutes or so of my communte. The CR73B-NMO has a gain of 2.15db on 2M and 5.3db on 70cm. I am not sure what it is in...

how about an S9 on 80M. i think the neighbor bought a new TV :( or the October snow storm did more damage to the dipoles then first thought.

OK, I have used the EZ-NEC demo, and for a demo it is ok, but I think I am going to need more then what it will do to model some beams I would like to try out. What other modeling programs are there, that won't break the bank? And do any of them use some sort of graphical interface, such as...
Thanks, I might sign up there, just to look around. I have no idea why forums make you sign up to view?
4-5 sounds like what I remember the guy telling us 20+ years ago..
Thanks
The concrete should be pourd against undisturbed earth, not forms. Unless the forms are to make the top few inches of the base look nice, but down in the hole.... right against the soil.
