    Question about license

The answer is YES, the control operator is the one thay physically ID's on the ten minute interval. The person with the lower class license can do the KC0***\ with N0** controling, between the mandatory 10 minute control op ID. If this wasn't the case a lower class licensee could operate with...

    706 or FT100?

One thing you might want to keep in mind, the 100D has been out of production for a while and parts will be getting harder and harder to find. I hear the finals are already impossible to locate. It woud be a bummer if something happened to the PA on one. Makes for a pretty exspensive HF...

    Legal 10 meter amateur radios

To help clear up some confusion one one point, there is no FCC type acceptance on amatuer radio gear. If there were you could mod your 2 meter radio for out of band and use it on your local volunteer fire department freq. That is a big NO NO and will get your licensce jerk real fast. 73 Ed

    antenna question

I'd bet if you changed the feedline to ladder 450 ohm ladder line and used a tuner with a 4:1 built in balun you would have an antenna that would work on 75 meters. It would not work as good as a 1/2 wave dipole, but it would allow you to get on the band. 73 Ed

    Tech license, cost? How long?

It cost me $12.50 to take the test, and if you pass your call sign will be posted on the FCC website in about 3-5 days. When you see your call sign listed then you can get on the air. 73 Ed KC0PZE

Who is King of the Hill HF base radio ?

NJ124, please do not take offense at what I am going to ask you. I was wondering what class of Ham you are? If you are a general what about the 2000 on HF makes it good, what about the VHF/UHF portion do you like? I have operated one and put it through a lot of paces, and there were a few things...
