after looking things over a little more i think you ment inject mic input on + side of c94 if i were to pull i would have no rx sound out speaker right .....anything eles i can change to give better tx audio ..........and on the rx side anything i could change there to make improvements...

i would also like to know if there is any difference with the two mods

yes i did remove jumpers 1 2 and jump 6 7 8 9 on a days old ft857d usa bought 2013 from gigaparts when i get home can look at the sn# can also take pic if you like .......never did try the mod with jumpers 1 2 installed ....

ft857d 2013 did mod only jumped 6 7 8 9 and removed jumper 1 2 everything works great ....mod on this thread says leave jumper 1 2 any reason why to leave them?

so you left jumper 1 and 2 in and jumped 6 7 8 9 whats your range on vhf/uhf ....and to get it to work hold the reset buttons down till the radio powers off..
