    I'd guess that I could go read it somewhere, but is it legal to modify a ham radio 70cm to transmit on gmrs frequencies? As long as you are within the power limits or whatever?

    My next radio is a Yeasu FT8900R. Cross band repeat will be very nice to have. Actually we have two 6 meter repeaters here that a few local hams frequent, so owning a 6 meter only radio here is slightly justified.
