Base Can you measure your I- Max 2000

Interesting thread, this site is always a worthy reference. I have an aging Imax 2000. I have talked all over the world on it, and I have used it on 10, 11, 12, and 15 meters with little to no tuning. Great antenna, and at a feedpoint height of 65-70’, it’s been awesome. After reading this...

    RCI 2970 N4 no transmit

He is right, the owner is very happy also. Thanks to Larry for tackling this and thanks to (Chris I think it is?) Nomadradio for the helpful tip. Harry

Anyone have a current, working link for this software? It is exactly what I am looking for to control my FT-891

    Magnum 1 unusable on 10M

Yes, I am well aware how easily a dirty transmission can be achieved. I also understand clean audio and a clean signal are completely different. This is especially easy to do with a radio that is barely meeting criteria to be a legal radio. My 2950 is 2 years old and I had it aligned by a...

    Magnum 1 unusable on 10M

Don't bother. There are those who will never accept that there are radios out there not branded Kenwood, Icom, or Yaesu that are actually legal and decent radios. I know MANY hams that talk on the newer Ranger radios and also on Magnum, Anytone, and Lincoln as well. I myself have used my...

    Magnum 1 unusable on 10M

It's obviously misaligned, but I am certain it can be corrected. Many of these Magnum 1s work fine on all 3 bands. Mine won't, not because the radio is incapable, but because a hack misaligned it. I was hoping someone would have an idea what might be out that SSB is the only mode affected.

    Magnum 1 unusable on 10M

Again, it works 100% on both AM and FM modes on 12, 11, and 10M? Again, I have a friend locally that uses him on all 3 bands with no issues. It does have the ability to shift and has tones for repeaters, but that's completely irrelevant to this thread. I say this with all due respect, but...

    Magnum 1 unusable on 10M

Actually, it's a 12Meter and 10 meter from the factory. I have a friend that uses his on both 10M and 11M with no issues, not to mention it works fine on AM and FM. I could really use some help/guidance, not bashing the product itself.

    Magnum 1 unusable on 10M

I have a Magnum 1 radio that I bought from a CB'er friend. He bout it from Les Comm and never opened the radio. This radio sounds phenomenal on 11M and the SSB stability is as good as any radio out there. Problem is when I went to check in to our local 10 Meter net, all anyone was hearing...
