2970N4, Less than 2 months and its gone tits up

This has been stated before, most people who tune these rigs try and squeeze as many watts and they can get from the radio. And then they wonder why they blew a mosfet.. The tiny fan in the amplifier section does not help either, I think it could use more cooling, but what do I know.. :whistle...

    Best Mast Pipe

Schedule 40 is what I used, I posted pics in the above response.. Like I said I am in the process of raising it up another 10-12 feet, and that is exactly what I am going to do.. I am going to remove the sleeve and drop the pipes 2-3 feet inside one another and cross bolt them... Good luck and...

    Best Mast Pipe

I got 2 2" 10 foot pipes and a 1" 10 foot pipe from my plumbing supply house.. There is a thread with pics of my setup and a discussion. I made a sleeve out of 3" pipe with nuts welded to the sleeve, it slips over the reducer that goes from 2" to 1" pipe.. I am in the process though of raising...

I myself run a Zerofive Colossal and its a great antenna.. My friend runs a sirio gainmaster which is good as well.. My other buddy runs a IMAX 2000.. All great antenna's.. I was going to initially put up the IMAX 2000 but glad I went with the colossal.. Good luck with whatever you choose..

Is CB radio suffering from the loudness wars?

Believe it or not I still have the IMAX 2000 w/GPK still new in the box.. I also have a brand new MAci 103c brand new in the box.. I was actually going to put up the beam in the first place, but I decided that my pipe system for the beam and rotor was not going to work, so then I bought the...

Is CB radio suffering from the loudness wars?

I totally agree with you sonar, you definetly get what you pay for.. The zerofive colossal has bad reviews? I have read all good reviews of it and it is hands down better then an imax 2000.. I was going to put up an imax but did some research on the zerofive and I am so glad I did in all...
