So basically pretend the yellow wire isn't even there?

It does thank you. I had it wires up via the diagrams but it would make the speaker buzz loud when keyed up. Then when I unkeyed, it would still buzz, but a little faint.

White/yellow/bare hooked to number 4. Black to 2, red to 3 blue to 1. That's the way it will make the transmission light turn red and move the needle, but doesn't transmit to another radio. Speaker very faint also.
