Home Kenwood TH-D74 / TH-D75 Extended Transmit Mod

Has anyone measured their output power before and after doing the MARS mod? I have done this to both my D74 and D72 and stangely enough I can't get more than about 2.5 - 3 watts out on 2m on both. However both measure almost 7 watts out on 70 cm! I am wondering if something happens that needs...
