    Hey everyone!

How's things been for y'all? I've been a little busy and not working much on the computer, just the BB, and it's not the most convenient to browse here on that, although do-able. What's new with all y'all? Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and hope the holidays have gone well for you all...

    HF-ALE first impressions

Seems like it could be rather handy, but at the same time, almost like cheating...

    Does anyone besides me...

I seem to recall Walsh who was also known as Audi0phile or something similar for a while if I remember correctly. Welcome back to the WWRF dude.

    They love the Tasers...

Care to elaborate a bit on that? A department that assisted the State police isn't quite the state police. What'd you assist the state police with?

    They love the Tasers...

At least they'll be fully able to sue the department if they really think they have a case. I'm sure there should be plenty of lawyers available, as a case like that stands to be worth some serious cash... Look, I'm 100% in favor of the police being held accountable when they do something...

    They love the Tasers...

Actually, you're just not thinking right. What I said was that despite the occasional bad cop, chances are there are a lot more good cops in a given area. Chances are if there is more than one or two cops in the area, there will be a good one around. Chances are the good cop wants nothing to...

    They love the Tasers...

I can't imagine if he was just lying there that they'd utilize a taser on the kid. Can you? I mean really? I'm just saying that if the kid were on the right stuff, he'd have had no problems moving or forcefully resisting. I guess the "alleged" thing was just an assumption, although a very...

    They love the Tasers...

I'm rather curious how someone does not happen to know what prompted them to fall 30 feet. I wonder if this guy was on something when he fell. The officers probably didn't just restrain the kid because he was allegedly on something. They had no way to know if the kid was armed. I don't...

Mind doing a copy/paste on the text of the article? I don't think it's a copyright issue as long as you leave the link up for the purpose of citing the source. It was just taking forever to load up on my connection so I gave up.

    Earthquake in SoCal

Any damage? The news is making a huge deal out of it apparently, is it a big deal? I mean I wouldn't want to have to deal with those things, which is why I'm glad I'm in Michigan. Hope all is well out there.

ALE is now being built into Transceivers!!

I'm not sure I like that. I'll be impressed when they make one dispense bourbon instead of ale.

So I searched google images for radio towers...

Those are some nice towers. I wonder if there's a shot of them unsupported. I bet if you tried to put that tower up in your neighborhood, very few people would notice with that sort of decoy available.

    QRZ WARNED BY THE FCC

The FCC needs to also realize the most efficient thing to do is go after the big distributors and/or known troublemakers, while leaving the small fries like internet forums (us, QRZ, etc) and radio users who aren't causing problems alone. I think the policy should be permanent banning for...

    Lunar Eclipse

It was pretty neat. Nice clear sky here. I would've got some pictures, but my tripod was elsewhere. My only complaint was the temperature was around 0°F or maybe a bit below. Summer time would've been much better, as I'd have been outside for the whole event.

I have an idea how to end the CB vrs. ham war:)

I think it's too late for the FCC to try anything with regard to regulating 11m. I think it's enough to make sure what happens on 11m stays there. Are there some first class operators on 11m? Hell yes there are, but there are also a lot of horrible operators who routinely try to block...

Can i get some Government help please

I love credit and debit cards. Credit cards especially. Mine gives cash back on spending, and I have all my normal bills set up to be paid on the card. One bill per month. Of course you do have to keep an eye on your spending and pay it down in a month or two. Definitely don't fall into the...

Can i get some Government help please

There is a huge upside to the value of the dollar decreasing: More manufacturing will likely be done in the US once again, since the dollar is weaker (we get less for our dollar in other countries). This is actually good for the nation, even though it doesn't feel like it. With a strong...

    QR-Zed?

Did they get their changeover to vBulletin software done yet? If they did, then the reason for the similarity in color is this is the vBulletin default color scheme, and of course vBulletin is what we both run now. Good to see they're as creative as we are in regard to the color scheme. lol

    CHAT AVAILABLE

The chat is painless and easy to use. Perhaps we should set about trying to schedule specific chat times, and just see how many people we can get in a chat room.

    Kenwood TH-F6a

Who has a Kenwood TH-F6a? What antenna do you use? How do you like it? I have one of these, with I believe a Maldol antenna, I'm not sure of the model number, but it's for 2m, 220mhz, and 70cm. Just wondering how many others have this radio.
