Ranger SuperStar 33 mods?

Anyone here have any modifications for this radio? I am especially looking for some help in how to make this thing swing a little better from low power. as it is right now, it will dk 1 watt and swing to 5watt. If you turn the power up to about 6-7 watt dk it swings great. Thanks for any help.
