Ok. I have amps. Thats not the issue. Just wondering what mods have to be done in order to see more average swing on the radio itself. Intern i get more average watts out of an amplifier.
You see i have a few radios which all swing to around 20- 25 peak. And all of them key anywhers 0-5 watts.(...
Its been awhile, but I just got bitten by the cb bug again. Im looking at putting up a beam. I was thinking either a 3 or 4 element. Just wondering is the 4 worth the extra....size, weight, n cost. Mostly size n weight.
Also, I have quite a few radios and some have very little average swing...
Might have mrf455's in it. I have a galaxy 225 with those in it. I'm actually using it to drive an xforce 400hd. Works good, but I will agree with the delay being a little long
I have a blackcat 500. It has 4 75 watt mosfets in it. Driving it with around 60 watts gives me around 250 out. It is what it is. And the Xforce thing might be true. The case and switches look a lot like their midnight special line ( except for colour )
I have a sirio sd27 mounted flat at 36'. Easy to put together. I'm very impressed with its performance, and surprised on how directional it is. Its durable. Put it up last summer, and its still up there. Even survived a brutal Canadian winter, and strong spring winds
I would of bought the...

All im saying is a class c box CAN work on ssb. Im not saying its proper, but the fact is its capable of transmitting on ssb.
Just trying to clear up some truth about the statement " class c boxes will NOT work. " The FACT is it will, regardless of every other factor. It will work. And I...
All im saying is class c will work on ssb, and class ab1 work fine for am. And like I already said at the end of the day its still just cb. This thread is in CB general discussion afterall.
I'm so tired of this class ab vs c crap. I have both class boxes and talked am and ssb on both. Clean signal in, clean signal out. I have a ms700 and it talks fine on ssb. I also have a TS667 which does great on am too. Don't forget this is cb, not your local broadcast radio station.
I never had a 203, but always liked them. I know couple of guys that run them and have no issues. Like anything abuse it and lose it, but treat it right and it will last. I have to agree with RT307. The are truly the best bang for the dollar.
As for the others you mentioned I don't even know...
Why would you say 1000 bird watts is not right. I would think those numbers would be accurate.
As for the 4 pill what do you need to know? The 300 watts is the max dead key from amp. But, I would key around 200 and swing up from there. The 240 max input is the max wattage you could drive the...
And this just makes someone wonder why get a ham ticket. Just talk on all bands. Whats the difference if an unlicensed operator talks on hf, if a licensed operator wants to break fcc rules? Sounds a little hipacriticle.
I realize two wrongs don't make a right, but...........
