Snake Radio Customs calls out Mike's Radio Repair LOL

Old topic but I will say that Mikes videos have helped me a greatly in repairing a few of my personal radios, he shows little tips and things to look for that only come from years of experience and that's what I really appreciate. He doesn't have to go to all the time and effort to put out these...

Looks like this guy caught a little break...Fine reduced

This guy is the worst of the worst, good job to the fcc for taking this guy down. Back in the early 1970's there was a house with a guy who was reported to run 50 watts of power, I'm not kidding he was putting out over 5-times the very generous (too generous I say) fcc limit. He was shunned by...

Electronic Engineering Co Amp Information needed Model LR-1

Hello, I've been searching for photos of the bottom side of a lr-1 amp like the ones in an old post you had. I was wondering by chance if you had a picture of the whole bottom side. I have one of these odd amps with the 4-6gk6 power tubes but some resistors and jumper wires are missing and...

    8950 tube ??

old thread I know it's an old thread but initially the poster stated he wanted to swap-out the 8950 with a 6lf6 and change the pin configuration but the replies were in regards to the 6lb6 tube and made no mention of the 6lf6 tube he wanted to use because he already had some that were good...

    The ramifications of going ham.

Follow up. Corperate bankers run the country, they give to re-election funds so their wishes are carried out. The politions we see on tv are little more than actors reading off of a tele-prompter.

    new to the site...

You'll be able to get out a long way with that set-up. I had a simular set-up on my car with a Wilson 5000 and same radio and amp and I would talk to a couple guys on my way out of town. On sideband I could get 60 miles down the road before I started to fade.

    johnson messenger 250

If you find out any info about the wiring let me know. I have the same radio and it is very picky about mics. I have even tried a couple Johnson mics and no luck. The only mic I have found that works on the messenger 250 is the stock brown Johnson hand mic.

    JCD-201M ???? blame this thread on AK295 . ;)

I always thought that guy was a bit of a salesman. Every item copper sells is given a big thumbs up by that tech. When I read a review there on the silver salute being easily as good as a d104 I had to really reconsider.
