Finals question

I’ve got a little midland 151m that was given to me. It had a blown 2078 final. I’ve got some good used 2029 finals out of a cobra. Can I use one of the 2029 to get it talking again?

I have a connex 3300 hp zx I thank the finels are fried how can I tell and where are they located inside my unit.

Unless you are referring to a 2SC2290 lurking around somewhere.

Those are kinda hard to miss.
I don't even repair these things at home so I'm not even going to try over 'net..

The ones pictured are typically used in amplifiers and not radio's like the Connex 3300 or cb's that use a 2078.
