Hello group, Have a good local operator friend whose son-in-law, living in Missouri, contracted by prearrangement, several weeks back, the repair of an RCI 2995DX by a place called (the) Radio Shop, located at 1933 N. Glenstone Ave in Springfield, Mo. A.K.A. ozradiodr, and going by the handle Freebird locally on ch 19. The repair was allegedly completed and paid for something over $300. When contacted again last week regarding the return shipping the guy quoted a ridiculous $200 for the ship. So at the end of this last week the radio owner called and told the guy he would make the 3 & 1/2 hour drive from his place and pick the radio up and the guy said fine. So the owner gets there this morning, 5/22 and the place is empty and the guy no longer answering his phone.
So if anyone in this group has equipment at this place for repair .... you may have to consider it lost. This dude has shut down and absconded with everything. Here is a link Freebird's website.
