I purchased this 828 in July of 15. I did not open the box until September and begin using the meter. I immediately noticed it wasn't working properly. I put it back in the original shipping box and left it in the corner of the shack until I realize the warranty was running out. That was in june of 16. I sent to mfj for warranty service. After one month I got it back with a letter stating that the meter works 100% with no issues found. I once again hooked it up to my station and found the same issues. I don't know what they tested it on but this meter has only been used on 11 meters. There are issues with my station as far as in proper height of antenna and 1.5:1 SWR. This might be what's causing this meter to work incorrectly. The frequency counter reads correct and the meter works when the double cross needles eventually settle down after a few seconds. It might need to be calibrated or it just might be there's too much RF getting into my station for a meter of this type. There are a few scratches on top (pictuerd?. The meter has very little use and the reason is obvious. I added as many pictures as I thought would be sufficient. $135 shipped and insured. Paypal only. No other forms of payment excepted. Having a happy Easter my friends. 73
