INet Labs is now shipping a 440Mhz version of their DVAP product, which should be very popular amongst Icom ID-31a owners, as well as other D-Star enthusiasts.
The device plugs into your PC or Mac to create your own D-Star hotspot for simplex operations. It will also connect to D-Star gateways, allowing you to talk to stations around the world. The DVAP has a very low-power signal at only about 10 mW and is is intended to reach only a few hundred feet. A removable antenna will help extend the range, allowing you to use your D-STAR HT away from the computer around your house or around your neighborhood at low power.
The device is priced at $269 and is currently available from HRO.
