All declared values were calculated with Eznec.
The gain value of 17.34 refers to the simulation in "real space" with the antenna positioned at 2 mt from the ground "1 wavelength".
The method I use for all "real space" simulations is always to position the antenna at 1 wavelength from the ground.
However, for the antenna in question, increasing the height also increases the gain value !; commercially I could state more by increasing the height from the ground, but it would not have been appropriate to change the method I use from the beginning.
Any doubts are available.
