Questions about a Palomar 350Z Tube Amp

Recently acquired this amplifier..... actually to be truthful.... A friend gave it to me..... FOR FREE !!!!

The amplifier works on HI drive (4-6LF6 tubes), but the LOW driver (2-6LF6 tubes) and the incoming amp do not work.

Tested the HI drive side with 100W driver and the amp does 500W.

The meter on the left which indicates current draw of the tubes is stuck on 11. The amplifier casing is in good condition and the 4 main tubes glow blue when excited.

Also was given 2 spare 6LF6 tubes.

Friday I will bring the amp to my radio tech so he can look at it and hopefully fix the low drive and the incoming amp.



Anyone have any experience with one of these ?

R.F. powerman, I am very impressed. I have probably worked on over 100 of these units, and I'd say 30-40 of them had that problem, glad to see knowledgable people out there... keep it up!
