I have a almost new Wizard 3cx1500a7 120v Box I am looking to sell.. It has literally 2 hrs on it at the most and was purchased about 3-4 months ago brand new by me... It was a fresh build by wizard, I got a good deal on it because I have done business with him in the past. so I purchased it as a backup amp, but it has hardly been used... Just wondering if anyone is interested, will make someone a good deal on it.. I could put it on ebay, I have 250+ positive feedbacks, but something like this and all the scammers out there who take advantage of the ebay rules, I really do not want to take a chance.. Would rather sell it in the forums where I am an active member in the community... Amp works 100%, no problems what so ever, like I said, it has 2 hrs on it, if that.. 3CX1500A7 TUBE in the amp tests at fulll output, has a heavy duty 1/2+ amp transformer that surges to 1 amp. Has input and output tuning as well.. The amp is ran on 120 volts AC with a 20 amp of draw. 20 watts key and 280 watts peak input drive MAX ! gives me 650+ watts RMS and 2500 + peak watts.... Great sounding amp, big audio.. It just sits on my bench and does not get used at all.. Anyone interested, let me know.. Here are a few pics.. I have originally box and packing materials..

Does the hv transformer primary have taps for 240vac? Was it built with a new or used tube?

I would say no on the transformer as its a 120v box... And the tube is a pull so its not new... Thanks for your interest.

I think your choice to keep clear of eBay (especially on this item) is an excellent one. Nice CB amp. Good luck. 73

Just hooked up the amp and did a quick tune with my 2 pill inline, which I had padded so I can use it as a driver for a number of boxes.. Radio is keying 2 watts, dead keying 20 watts peak , and swinging 200+ into the wizard.. Just wanted to post this to show what the amp is doing and that the tube is good.. ;) The amp is in pristine condition, it was hardly used. Anyone interested , let me know.. Thanks..

A classified ad is not the place to pick apart an amplifier. I have my opinions also but kept them to myself. His description falls inline with what the manufacturer says it should do.

Since when is a WIZARD built amplifier manufactured?
IS it type accepted since YOU claim it is manufactured?
    Manufactured where? In someones garage?

You are absolutely correct and I was just as guilty as others. Somehow I missed that it was in the for sale section. This thread has been edited to reflect that (no kidding hey) ;). My apologies to Troubleshooter.

A big box like that is hard to ship and get it there safely and intact. Glad you were able to move it locally.

Thanks brother... Yeah, I have had my share of damaged goods, but I was always on the receiving end of it.. Thats why you always get insurance no matter what you are shipping.. Its just a PIA though to go through the motions. The shipping company has to come and pick up package, they have to do there own inspections, etc, etc. But something like this, I was not to keen on shipping it either, so I am glad I was able to move it locally..
