Export Frequency Conversion

1. Carefully remove the small phillips screw from the side of the case near the volume control. Be carefull not to lose the small nut.

2. Remove the remaining phillips screws from the back side of the case and pull upward on the back cover so as not to disturb the front half of the case. Slide out the battery lock button taking note of the tiny springs position that holds the lock in place.

Do not lose the small spring!

3. Locate the three small pads shown in the drawing (A) above. These are located behind the PTT button. Solder all three of these pads together to complete the 400 channel modification.

4. Pressing the channel 9/19 button will advance through the added bands A - F.
