Extended 10-Meter Frequency Conversion (26.065 - 29.655MHz)

NOTE:
You must have the proper equipment needed to do a full Alignment of the radio.
Exercise a great deal of care with this mod!
Due to the placement, size, and close proximity of the surrounding traces.
If done wrong you could destroy the PCB.

If you have even the slightest doubts or the proper equipment , it would be wise to have someone else you trust perform the mod for you.

SO TAKE YOUR TIME AND DOUBLE CHECK YOUR WORK!!!!

 

1.
 Remove the covers from the radio and locate X3 (grid location E3 Main PCB). Replace X3 13.560MHz crystal to a 14.460MHz crystal.
2.
 Do a full Alignment of the radio.
3.
 Re-Assemble the unit and check All Bands for Proper operation.

 

This will give you the following freqs. in order.


Band A = 26.065 - 26.505
Band B = 26.515 - 26.955
Band C = 26.965 - 27.405
Band D = 27.415 - 27.855
Band E = 27.865 - 28.305
Band F = 28.315 - 28.755
Band G = 28.765 - 29.205
Band H = 29.215 - 29.655

This will cover almost the complete 10 meter range 28.000 - 29.700 and still keep the 11 meter CB.
