Test
Equipment Setup
1. Connect audio
generator output terminal to pin 2 of Mic jack and connect pin 3 to ground.
2. Connect RF power
meter to antenna jack.
3. Connect coupler
to RE power meter.
4. Connect 50 ohm
dummy load, oscilloscope and frequency counter to coupler.
5. Connect power
cord to power supply.
Alignment
Procedure
1. Mic: Transmit,
Channel Selector: 19
2. Adjust T108,T109,T1
10,L7,and L11-B for max. power output.
3. Check output
on Ch1 & Ch40, if power is not equal readjust L7, and L11-B.
4. Adjust RV7 so
that output indicator meter is at the 4 watt position.
5. Check that frequency
tolerance is plus or minus 400 Hz, if not go back to steps 1-3.
6. Remove 50 ohm
dummy load from antenna jack.
7. Connect RF attenuator
and spectrum analyzer to antenna jack.
8. Check that harmonics
and spurious are suppressed more than -63dB on all channels with no modulation
if it is not within the above range adjust L7, and L11-B (harmonics).
9. Turn on the
audio generator and adjust audio level to obtain 80-100% modulation (3mV). Adjust
RV2 to obtain 95% modulation.
