Hi guys, I am seeing some Chinese made knock off antennas that look a LOT like the Wilson mag mounts. They are under the "Tram" name. Has anyone tried one?

Also noticed a clone with the Cherokee name...aren't Wilsons made in China now? Maybe they all coming off the same production line???

The wilsons are now made in China.
Main diff in the knock off ones is the quality of the coax cable

The US just can't compete with sweat shop slave labor that the Asians are famous for. So much for me buying another Wilson.
I guess if US workers want to make $3.00 an hour and work 12 hour days in dangerous conditions with no healthcare.......we might have a chance of bringing jobs back.

I too have heard that Wilson sold out or something to someone else. Still using the name and the product is cheaper and doesn't hold up. So the good ol' W 5000 mag mount standard is a thing of the past. You don't want a new one. Bummer

Coax question. I just put up a new Sirio monsoon base antenna with 100’ of rg8u coax testing with myMFJ antenna analyzer shows 1.4 swr at 26.965mhz and a 1.1 at 27.405 mhz . When I checked the ohms it’s steady a 30 ohms across the entire bandwidth.

Is 30 ohms worth worrying about in a 100’ run of rg8u ?
