RMS or P-P Voltage for modulation alignment

Good question. I have worked with radios that specify either P-P or RMS. And many that don't specify at all. And not all radios require the same level. In practice, I always start with 50mV P-P (35mV RMS) and go up and down from there to see where the input level is happy. I will always check...

    Anytone At-6666 Pro

Yep that's right. Mike's style is always to go for the cleanest waveform possible. His work makes an already clean radio, even cleaner (which will then sometimes show a couple of watts less on SSB, than the factory alignment will).

FYI, the AT-6666PRO can be set to remember the mode and other user settings, per individual channel. For example, if CH 38 is always LSB, CH 06 is always AM, and 27.555 is always USB, the radio can automatically change the mode for you, when you arrive back those channels. (Use the PUBLIC (PD)...

A local supplier has confirmed sell pricing of only slightly higher than the original. You can safely ignore the crazy placeholder pricing some EU websites posted (who didn't have radios to sell at the time).

Absolutely. I will share more when I can. I think you will be impressed. It's a big step up in all areas with lots of new goodness. Proper production units are not far away, around July is looking likely (TBC).

FYI, the PRO is a totally new radio inside. The only thing it really shares with the original radio is the case, and some of the menu structure.

    New Anytone 6666+

There are significant differences in size, layout, IO/UI, and feature set. But both share some of the latest circuit designs at their core. You will see that across various new radios from different brands, and that's a good thing. The old line of "it's just an X in a Y box" is simply not the...

    New Anytone 6666+

I wouldn't pay any attention to the online pricing yet. The radio is still not released and the people "selling" don't actually have them to sell.

    VOX features on 11 meter

The soon to be released AT-6666PRO and updated AT-5555Nii will have a built-in VOX mode that works in all modes. It can be used with the standard microphone, or a headset if you wire one up. The level (gain) and delay settings are there to adjust as you need. As a rule, VOX can be OK, but YMMV...
