Replace 2sb754 with tip36?

I'm working on a 695015BR ranger board and I have a tip36 in stock. The tip36 is often compared to the max-mod, and the max-mod is an acceptable replacement for the 2sb754. If this is ok, is this a drop in, or will other adjustments need to be made due to the additional current available. Obviously I'm not much of a tech since I'm asking, I just don't want to create a lot more work for myself.

Edit; I guess it is a pretty important detail that it is a 2995dx. If the tip36 provides more current, it may overdrive the amp and blow it even sooner.

I see no reason to replace working part with another.
But... if you have tip36 put it in. No adjustment needed.
In case of increasing output power tip36 will have more breathing space.

I already installed the tip36 and keyed the radio with the amp disabled. The radio now has output. While the radio is "fixed" I wasn't certain if it was ok to just leave it. Based on your answer I assume there will be more current available, but the output will not change unless the radio is peaked and tweaked.

These radios struggle to stay working in stock form, so I'm not trying to smoke it sooner. Thank you
