TOMCAT'S CONFIDENTIAL REPORT/ CB UNDERCOVER! S9 Magazine October 1978

So, I transcribed an article from S9 Magazine into something I hoped would be more readable. I hope you enjoy.

If you have any other good scans of old articles you want cleaned up, please let me know and I'll get it done! Maybe we can save some CB history by doing this... so please do reach out!

Also, does anyone know if we have any blind fam on here? I'd consider doing an audio transcription too when I have time!

I think even Tom would say $90 is steep!
I have one. it's a pretty good book with a lot of CB radio history in it. I wouldn't sell my copy of it. I don't think there are any other books that cover the history of CB, are there?

I wish I would have been smart enough to subscribe to S9 or some of the other CB related mags while they were out there! I only picked a few up at the stand now and then.......

First encountered Tom Kneitel in Popular Electronics. His column included reader questions. At the time LSD was new and in the news. A reader wrote in asking if there was any electronic way create a psychedelic experience. Tom told him to find LSD (Large Silicon Diode) with a wire attached to each end and a gator clip at the end of each wire. Attach one clip to each earlobe and stand next to the tower of an AM broadcast transmitter. If you can find a way to tune in you'll certainly get turned on.
