Have the schematic and the owners manual. Trouble shooting the s-meter circuit stays full scale unit on and setup (rf gain max avc on) antenna disconnected, adjust zero pot no change in meter still full scale. The voltage does drop on the top lug yellow wire from adjusting the zero pot. Should the meter ohm open between the lugs? The voltages are a little high in this unit but my house current runs a little high don't know if that would be an issue, reading 250 instead of 240 for b+ voltage. Trying to determine if it's the meter at fault or an adjustment. Thanks Ira

Just so everyone knows I found the R-27 schematic here https://oldtuberadio.com/data/Browning Labs/Browning R-27 sch.pdf still looking for the S-23. Anybody have a copy of Sam's photo fact #10 says it has the information on this series radio. Thanks Ira

You could ask in this thread:
Dan's been very helpful in posting info if he has it and some of the other members have started posting stuff if Dan doesn't have it.

Thanks TM86, just went there and posted. Trying to find out if the meters in the units are the same (1 MA) other than the face plate. My rx meter stays at full scale, it ohms open, my tx meter ohms at 1k, checked everything down stream from meter, zero pot adjusts and checks good as well as the resistors so I'm assuming the meter is bad just looking for confirmation. Barkett has one for the S-23 but not sure they are the same schematic doesn't show the specs for rx meter. Thanks Ira

Thanks again TM86 Mr. Dan had the Sam's issue I was looking for and sent it to me right away you guys are great. The Sam's issue shows the MA on both meters being the same just have to check if the face plate is removable. Once again Thank You So Much. Ira
