Bought this yesterday locally. Was pretty excited to get what I thought was a 2 pill amp (from my google searches) thinking 100w pep on ssb here we come! Opened the covers this morning to see its a single pill MRF455. Most of my online searchs show a more modern version I think from the early 80s with black face 2 pill.
I think this one I bought is older then that? Anyone ever seen one like this? Thinking maybe 60watt pep? I only want to use it on ssb. There is no ssb switch but I see a 22uf capacitor that may be related to stopping relay chatter. I think the amp is AB class? Thought I'd show you some pics for interest/comments:
