SWR taken after the amp should not vary with high power. If the swr goes high you have a problem . Like spurious emissions from your amp caused by over driving or poor design. Another issue , with CB amps, lack of input tuning you can see that with the swr meter between the radio and Amp. After saying that a slight change on high power is nothing to worry about.

Thanks vk. I will be opening the amp. I'm gonna tighten down every screw and I would also like to use the glue or laqour as per you suggestion. Can you tell me what type of glue or lackqour I should purchase? Do you prefer one over The other and exactly how should I apply it and how long should I let it dry before i use the amp? Thank you very much . Your friend Christopher.
Hi vkrules! The menu list of my Maxlog M-8900 does not match the list in the owner's manual given by Mike from Yeticomm. I cannot find all the settings proper as the menu numbers do not match and the abbreviations do not make a whole lot of sense with the miss-match of the numbers.
Do you have a better menu list for mine? There are 25 menu items on the radio...
