Deus has the right idea. AA's are light and easy. The only problem with them is broadcast power. The 4.5v from AA's will only broadcast 1W. And solar power won't cross the threshold voltage, 12V, for charging.
I use one of those small 12V lead -acid batterys. There nice because they will charge...
I went down to Wally-world an picked up an assortment pack of jacks. Just happened to have a 3" extension with a straight jack that would insert all the way. Then any earbuds / headphones i have will work.
Upon removing the GPS unit from on top of mike. I noticed theres a 14 point connector at the top of the mike. Only 5 are in use by the GPS unit.
What might the other 9 be put to use for? Just wondering.
