    CDE HAM-II/CD44 controller

OUTSTANDING! Thanks a bunch. I imagine a 1 watt minimum zener will be OK

    CDE HAM-II/CD44 controller

Does any body happen to know what the 2 diodes are that are in this controller/ There are 2, D1 and D2, but the manuals only give a CDE part number. 1 is listed as a zener, and another a 100 PIV diode. That's all the info on it I can find. Thanks for any help

    Frequency Counter

Has anyone used or owned one of these. https://www.aimtti.com/product-category/frequency-counters/aim-tf900series The specs seem good and it's Made in England (Great Britain), There just doesn't seem to be a lot of information as far as reviews for it. One guy on utube has a review, that's...

Replaced the 5082 and now have 10.24.

    RCI 2950 no 10.240

1.047 V, however no 10.24 output on AM-FM. In the SSB modes I get about 8 MHz @ pin 1.

    RCI 2950 no 10.240

I had my counter set to MHz at first, switched to kHz showed the signal frequency. That got me to looking at the data sheet a little more and I see how you got me there. I don't have a very good knowledge of what the ic does, so thanks. So with all that's going on with the 5082, it looks like...

    RCI 2950 no 10.240

Actually, I have 5V at the pin5. My meter lead went goofy.

    RCI 2950 no 10.240

So further, shouldn't pin5 of the 5082 have like 7V or so? I have nothing at this time

    You are correct sir.

    RCI 2950 no 10.240

With the scope on pin7 of the 5082P and pin7 of the 2081AP, they connect, I get this image. It's a snapshot, best I can do. But it does appear to have signal unless I'm mistaken. No voltage or freq showing on pin7 though.

    RCI 2950 no 10.240

I found the 5082P datasheet. Only it's in Japanese I believe. Also this diagram. Looks like IC5 (TC5081P) comes in to play as well. I've just been tracing back on the schematic to anything tied to the blown capacitor I had (C103).

    RCI 2950 no 10.240

At pin 2 and 3 of the tc5082p, I get the 10.240, but nothing out of pin 1. Should I have the 10.240 @ pin1? Thanks.

    RCI 2950 no 10.240

Working on an old school 2950, orange face. I found a shorted C103, may have been inserted with the wrong polarization. I replaced that cap, and going through a PLL align, I found I can't get past the first step which is looking for the 10.240 at L61. I think L4 (IFT12251) might be the culprit...
