If you look at the channel selector ribbon post I made, the 5th picture in shows how the F101 sits above the 2001. I had pulled that out to recap it. A lot of little daughter boards in this thing.
This one has a 2002 PLL, and the TP1 is the test for the 10.240
On pin 2, TP2, if I remember I get like 18 or so mhz, slightly higher than what spec is.
I appreciate the help though, keeps me thinking.
I have a schematic of the 611 from a member here. I just ordered the SAMS for the 611, but that was all before I took any measurements of the PLL etc.
I did go to CB Tricks and read all the schematics of the radios I listed to find out that those radios above all had this mixer/amp in them...
Does anyone know what this IC is or if there's possibly an availability? I can't seem to find anything on it.
28 pin. This is in a Royce 611. I'm supposed to be getting 10.240 at pin 18 and it's not there. I have the 10.240 at the X-tal.
thanks
I've been playing around with a Royce 611 that was my late dad's. So far I've recapped it, which hasn't brought it back to life, still just have static at the speaker in PA or CB mode that doesn't respond to volume control, no RX or TX yet. Been sitting in a garage for 30 years.
But I am at...
Did this mod, I get chatter from the power supply when I start pulling amps. I can only conclude the pwer supply was bad, or I did something to it. I modded it before trying to pull any amp draw when I first got the power supply.
Might be an RF thing as It doesn't chatter until I start to...
Not mine but those elements are hard to find

I had a 93 Toyota pickup that had noise when running. I had changed the spark plugs out for some Splitfires. I changed them back to the factory plugs and the noise went away.
I think Toyota had a patented type plug specification at the time...if I remember correct.
Not a GM, but just an...
Interesting site. Just ran across it goofing around. Radios were quite expensive really, considering as a serviceman making about $400 a month, and having a $200 a month car payment. (1976)

I've used UKL Nichicon LOW LEAKAGE electorlytic in audio circuits replacing tantalum types and they work work well. They were recommended. There are other brands that have them as well.
If I hold it close to my ear, well several inches away, I can hear like a buzzing or humming sound while it is unloaded at idle. Like you, this is my first one so i don't know what to expect.
I'll play around a little more with it and see what happens. It can't keep up with the 2970 as it is...
Did the 750 watt version, PL-18. Jumper-ed the resistor by the pot. Adjusted to 13.85. Works well up to about 15-20 amps, then starts buzzing and cuts off.
I didn't do the Over Voltage part as 13.8 was all I need to go. It doesn't drop hardly at all as far as voltage, just starts to squeal and...
