Well.... If we ever bump into each other I can guaranttee it will be different on this end... Everything has gotten to impersonal and the conversation of just gettin' to know someone and B.S. has long been forgotten.... Very very hard to strike up a good QSO anymore...

Wrong.... 320.00 at the Quack Shop.... 309.00 at GI Joes... And at GI Joes you can have the Peak&Tune done... So you don't have to waste all that extra money with re-shipping etc... And trust me the radio will be just as good... I have had 2 Radios done there, the cheapest place... And they have...

Loud Radio Wanted, What do I need?

If you want a good 'ole barefoot radio with nothing done... Like I said these are the 3 to look at... Galaxy 959DX, or Uniden 78,or Texas ranger TR696FD1 Freedom One... Their Plain Jane CB's and they are up for the Rough and Tumble... Galaxy definately makes the CB's and this is their best...

Loud Radio Wanted, What do I need?

Check them out and watch your prices... Especially when you start adding your mods to them... I know the RCI 2980 is $40.00 to $60.00 dollars cheaper than anywhere else I can find... (At GI Joe's)

CAN ONE DEFINE A GOOD RADIO "TECH" FROM A "HA

There's definately alot of difference between a Hack and a Tech... Bob's CB Justin DePolis When something happens to these 2... I hope there is someone to fill their shoes... These are examples of "True Tech's" and great people to work with all the way around.

Loud Radio Wanted, What do I need?

If you want loud... Go with a Galaxy 95T, RCI Ranger 6900 F150... They both have dual finals w/baby linears and by themselves will walk the dog at 200 Watts PEP/60-65 Watt RMS ... ;) Here's a place that has them at the best price right now... You also need to specify the Peak&Tune and put a...

CAN ONE DEFINE A GOOD RADIO "TECH" FROM A "HA

Some of those listed shouldn't be on there... I have heard many people say many GOOD things about these places... I have had very good luck at GiJoes and RR (William Warlock) is one of the highest talked about techs I know... He has helped me many times with things and is currently building...

    New Pyramid PS86

Nope... And I have 2 Pyramid's here... Both work great! That is a nice supply there... May have to get one of those for the house... Than I can power 2 or 3 radios off of one instead of having a P.S. for each radio... Couple one of those with a good size Amplifier and you can run a 700-800...

    FT 901DM

Yes they were ... Some of the best of their time, as well as now for that matter.... I buy Yaesu because it's a very good radio... Both old&new... The FT 101 was one of the most popular radios of it's time... That's why you can find so many today... Compared to the Kenwood TS 520,TS 530,TS...

Uniden would have been my choice... A good P&T and a good Power Mic... As Motor Homes aren't near as loud inside as a big truck... So a good Power Mic like a D-104 Hand Held would help to get your modulation up. I have the Galaxy 959DX in the Blazer with that Power Mic... No background noise...

    Magnum 3200 Base Station

My Ranger 2980 is being built by RR in Va... Complete with Nitro switch so I can use it full out or put it on a Linear.. All at the flip of a switch... Talk about a handy pre-set... After this one I am done with radios for a while... I don't have anymore room on the benches.

    Galaxy DX 959 Revived!! ;)

awww.... but read closer.... 2 Techs and the radio couldn't put a signal out to save it's life?? It needed a bad re-alignment done... And it wasn't done right until it went to Bob's... I put it in the Blazer as soon as we came out of the shop and it was night and day... I could actually hear...
